ouchie.
it's been days since i injured myself and my foot still hurts. i did a superman punch and my landing went horribly wrong, thus the midfoot sprain. i've been limping for what seems like forever! it sucks because as much as i want to go through the drills, any movement which requires me to put my weight on one foot or anything that requires twisting my legs is impossible. please pray that when i wake up tomorrow, my foot will be as good as new. i need it! pronto!

Be Patient With Fitness Goals
Given that CBS is calling exercise the new
wonder drug for cancer, it is time to consider what it can do for you. Breast
cancer, testicular cancer, mesothelioma and prostate cancer are
all some of the different kinds of cancer that can affect your life, and you’ll
find that even after recovery, you may still be feeling at a loss. Exercise not
only allows you to get fit, but you’ll also find that it can have a positive effect on your
mood and the amount of control that you have in your life. Consider some of these tips to get your workout ball rolling.
Start Slow
No one is saying that you have to go out and run a marathon right this moment. There are plenty of people who are invested in getting fit, but they want to do it all at once. The truth of the matter is that true fitness and getting healthy in general take time. It is a process, and not something that happens over night. If you can only handle walking around the block a few times, start there. While you might be a long way away from where you want to be, you will only continue to get closer with more work.
Fit It In
Exercise is something that turns off many people because it takes time. If you are constantly trying to find time to exercise, it is time to stop and start figuring out what you can do. Think about fitting exercise in at the beginning of your day, either by waking up a little early or pushing some other things back. Exercise is a fantastic way to start off a day as it gets your heart rate up and it also gives you a pleasant endorphin rush. This is an excellent way to use exercise to help improve your mood.
Expect It to Be Irritating
One of the biggest myths about exercise is that it is immediately fulfilling and enjoyable. If you are starting from a dead stop or if you have never exercised before, you’ll find that it can be an irritating or wearying experience. The truth is, though, even its irritating nature can be used to serve you. For example, even if you find it irritating, you’ll feel accomplished after you have finished. Eventually, over time, the feeling of irritation will wear away and you’ll find that you are much more satisfied with your workout.
Be patient with yourself. Getting fit is a fantastic way to help in your recovery from cancer, and the truth of the matter is that only you can motivate yourself to do it. Consider what exercises work well for you, and consider consulting a nutritionist who can help you get where you need to be.

oh hai!
i spent my weekend sleeping. i started training for MMA last week. 2-hour sessions per day. i take breaks on weekends. training is fun but grueling. muscle pains everyday. gotta get used to this. no pain, no gain... so they say!
i cut down on my cigs. i want to quit it but part of me won't do it. i can't be gasping for air while doing the calisthenics before the MMA drills. also, i've cut down on alcohol. this takes some getting used to. haha :)

the reincarnation
i just want to say that i am so fucking bored. bored shitless. bored out of my fucking wits. work has not been fulfilling. i show up at work to do nothing. i spend my idle time playing kingdom of loathing and what used to be magewar/archmage: the reincarnation.
total 467 mages are known to exist in terra and i'm ranked 86!
so yeah. i am bored.
anyway, the clock is ticking and it's almost the armageddon on the blitz server!!! |
